Barney,
To access the
GEM, you'll probably need a factory scan tool (IDS or NGS). I've had trouble with many of the aftermarket utilities being able to access those types of modules. To be honest though, I've never had to check for a door switch issue so I couldn't tell you. I'm sure it's annoying as heck though.
As for the
