Codes P0171-P0174
Codes -P0171,P0174 Lean bank 1&2. I have a 06 F150 with the 5.4L. I have the Volant CAI and FlowMaster 70 series muffler and getting those codes. Will the EDGE EVO in the Tow mode correct the problem? I had the Volant CAI without the 70 series muffler and no codes then added flowmaster 70muffler and codes were popping up P0171,P0174. Is this a common problem?
Or should I get a Gryphon tuned to the two (2) mods.

Quite possible that there may be a vacuum leak.
Also do you get the codes when you are at stock?

NO codes when in stock configuration. I think with the extra air from the Volant CAI and the less backpressure exhaust it's needing more fuel and the PCM can't give it anymore.

Ok we got the info out into the open now.
You may want to consider upgrading your edge to a gryphon. With custom tunes. The lean issue primarily is in the 04-05's but some 06's can have it also. But with any CAI a custom tune is best.
