Have you checked
ICP under load?
Low
ICP will cause the fuel to be injected at a lower pressure and will not atomize correctly. This will give you an inefficient burn resulting in black smoke.
Borrow some type of scanner or make a mechanical gauge to check it. If it will not hold 2800-3000
psi more than likely your pump is weak, or you have an HPO leak.
