Greeting fellow diesel heads.

Not sure how or where to send this post since its my first, but I could use some help.

I am unable to download new tunes to my 2002 7.3 PS on my new Google Chromebook. It does not open executable files such as the Hydra power tune files.

Apparently, it has to be a MAC or Windows OS, not a google Chromebook.

There appear to be some workarounds by utilizing Linix in some "Wine" ap by copying a complex script file. A little too much for me.

Just need to get tunes loaded. Any ideas ?

Thanks. Would appreciate any pointers on how and where to put future posts.

Hey there! Glad to have you aboard. :D

Historically, the HydraFlash software doesn't work on a ChromeBook as it is an App-Based OS that basically used mobile apps versus actual compiled programs like a Windows or Mac operating system would.

I'll check with our IT department and see if there's a way to make it work. I'm aware of WINE, but not really familiar with how to implement it or our software would work with it.

In the short term, if you have access to anyone with a Windows or Mac computer, the software is easy to install and just as easy to remove once you've programmed your chip. That would at least get you up and running.

We'll post back if we can find a workaround for the ChromeBook OS.

I hope this is helpful.
