I think, and I may be wrong on this, that you have to put your picture on an image hosting site such as http://photobucket.com/ (where I've put mine) and then you can link to it. It's free and fairly easy to use.

well still dont see no pic in your signature. just make sure you are hosting at another site and then copy the img url and then put it into your signature
