Thanks for the welcome guys!! :cheesy smile:
I Just got and installed my tuner today but didn't have much time to play with it ... It was real simple...
Q - Does anyone know what the short connector (jack) by the OBII port is for?
I did however get it running and am running the canned tunes # 2 with an adjustment to the wheel size.. It sounds better but I did not feel much of a torque increase . Any ideas? I will mess with it more tomorrow....

Is that wire/plug part of the obd2 plug that goes into the obd2 port?
If it is it's not used.

Yes it is part of the programmer cable on the OB2 end about 2" from the end the cable splits into a Y with a 4 prong connector/port. I was wondering what that was used for since it is now tucked under the console!
Ps. the OB2 cover that I came with the tuner when would I use it? Or is it only for when the tuner is not in the OB2 slot?

Bill at php explained what that was for and I forgot what he said and why.
So it's not used. I wouldn't worry about it.

The PLUG is for when you bring your truck to the DEALER!
If you go to the dealer for service work to your truck it's always a good idea to put back to stock and to take the gryphon out. Not unless there is an agreement made that they won't reflash your PCM without approval. Once they reflash your HEX code changes and that code is the building block for your custom tunes.
