I currently have a K&N CAI and Bill's 87 perf tune. If I remove the CAI and do the "GOTTS" mod to my stock intake, will I need to have my tune rewritten? After reading several posts and seeing that the "Gotts" mod is just as good as a CAI, I am thinking of selling my CAI. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

You are going to need your tunes recalibrated.

With out the cai the afr will be rich and your milage will suffer, even though the gotts mod is installed. The maf sensor also will be in the stock location different from where it was in the cai.

So request the recals first then do the gotts.

Since you didn't list what year or motor the above is for 2004-2008 5.4's.

Thanks Lars!! Sorry I forgot to mention that my truck is a 2007 5.4L. I think I may just stick with the CAI for now. I do not want to bother Bill with a recal. He has enough things to do.

Thanks again,

Mike
