It just happens to be the maximum amount of memory on the TS Performance chips only allows for 6 positions at 224K bytes each.

I figured it was something logical, not just that 6 was someones favorite number. I do wish it was more because I can't make up my mind.

You joke but I was wondering if that was possible just have the chip that wasn't being used set to stock.

Not possible. You can only install one chip at a time. Besides, "stock" on a chip is not "straight-from-the-PCM-stock". Stock on a chip is a burned position and still bypasses the PCM's internal memory.
You could, however, buy two chips and switch back and forth between the two. I haven't looked to see what kind of truck you have, but switching chips in a 95-97 isn't the easiest thing to do in a hurry, but it could be done. That way, you'd have a total of 11 tunes plus a "stock".

I know it wouldn't work I have seen how the hardware works, besides inmy truck there isn't enough mods to really use more than 6 spots,
But justt think a whole little row of mad max knobs on the dash you could turn to dial in the performance. I would have to add a couple of rows of toggles, gauges, and buttons so it would be like I was in a cockpit.:thumbs up yellow:

We could certainly set you up with a row of knobs... You could get 8 or 10 for the price of a chip. ;)
