I have a 2008 F-150 Lariat 4X4 5.4 (330) Engine; I'm thinking of upgrading my Factory TB with a BBK 80mm TB. My upgrades include K&N CAI, JBA headers, Jet Performance MAF, and Magnaflow Catback Exhaust and Edge Evo Tuner. I plan to upgrade to a Gryphon with custom tunes here shortly. My question is will the BBK 80mm TB perform any better than the factory TB and should I first get the BBK 80mm TB before odering custom tunes?

I hope I don't offend you for saying what I'm about to post.
You take all that aftermarket intake stuff and add it up and you could have saved a ton of cash compared to what custom tunes would've done for your truck.
If you have the cash burning a hole in your pocket then go with the custom tunes first. The bigger throttle body will be chalenged by the charge motion control valves. Maybe custom tunes will help it but maybe not.
Just my $.02
Have a great day!

I had one on a 07 fx2 sport and you are not really going to notice a difference during WOT but its up to you i guess, Every little bit counts in the way i see it. even if it is a couple of horses.

I am curious if this could make a difference in front of a supercharger? I know that saleen bumps there supercharger throttle bodys up to 75mm. Shouldn't it improve numbers if tuned for it? Or am I missing some thing?

There might be some positive out comes on that one.
Especially when used on a roots or twin screw.
Centrifugal might have the same troubles.
