Here's a list of OEM rear axle codes. You can find the code for your truck on your driver's door sticker.
19 = 3.55 open
H9 = 3.55 LSD
26 = 3.73 open
B6 = 3.73 LSD
27 = 3.31 open
18 = 3.08 open
25 = 4.10 open
B5 = 4.10 LSD

Peace!:)

thanks again you would think that they would just list the gear ratio instead of code

Well you've got your answer, but if you come across another Ford you don't have the codes for here is a way. I might be wrong on newer trucks, but for many years Ford had ID tags on a bolt for the diff cover. One might say "75W-140 SYN ONLY" and the other would have various information on two lines(model, build date, etc.), if you look at the bottom line, left most numbers is would give the gear ratio and limited slip or not. EX:

3 73 = 3.73 open carrier
3L73 = 3.73 limited slip
