ses light came on out of nowhere yesterday. stopped at auto zone and they pulled code p1151 - fuel air metering
the description was ECM could not adjust fuel trim because of a lean or rich condition. the truck remained driving and running just fine.
probable causes were: bad o2 bank 2, fuel pressure reg.,fuel pressure high or low, dirty/defective MAF, leaking injector, vacuum line on engine.
sunday i had just cleaned my maf sensor with QD electric cleaner and installed a fuel filter that i've had some time. i hesitated to put it on cause its been in the truck for a while and had dust in the ends. i think i will try a new filter first.
when i got home i recleaned the MAF with electric parts cleaner agn, as well as all connections at the intake and also reset the battery.
So far in 40-45miles of driving it hasnt came on agn.
Any info or suggestions?

Well you opened up pandora's box on that one!
Like you stated it could be a bunch of things.
I searched it and it would be a good read for over the weekend!
Lots of posts on it on other forums with no one direct answer.
It could be from you changing the fuel filter and cleaning the MAF.
A battery disconnect will only be a temporarily fix it if there is another problem.

Code p1151 is a code for the heated oxygen sensor on bank 2 sensor 1. This could be the sensor but could also be caused by a vacuum leak causing a lean condition. There is also an issue with contaminated Mass Air Flow sensors causing this problem. They can be cleaned. there are special cleaners from CRC that you can buy at stores like autozone to do this.

What 88 said.
My money is on the 02 sensor itself.

Causes
A code P1151 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
Electrical:
• Short to VPWR in the harness or HO2S
• Water in the harness connector
• Open/shorted HO2S circuit
• Corrosion or poor mating terminals and wiring
• Damaged HO2S
• Damaged PCM Fuel System:
• Excessive fuel pressure
Leaking/contaminated fuel injectors
Leaking fuel pressure regulator
Low fuel pressure or running out of fuel
Vapor recovery system
Induction System:
• Air leaks after the MAF
• Vacuum Leaks PCV system:
• Improperly seated engine oil dipstick
EGR System:
• Leaking gasket
• Stuck EGR valve
• Leaking diaphragm or EVR Base Engine:
• Oil overfill
• Cam Timing
• Cylinder compression
• Exhaust leaks before or near the HO2S(s)
That's if you really want to have some fun?

im starting to think it may have actually been the oil overfilling. i also changed my oil the other day and it is pretty high. the funny things is the light came on 3days after i changed it. since i reset the battery and recleaned maf its been around 120-125 miles and it hasnt came on.

It's not going to hurt to try it.
But
You should also try to figure it out.
Running a tune may multiply the codes or it could jet be the one.
Try to track down the problem.
