Does anyone have a template of the Gryphon pod cut-out? I've got an idea and would like to use an original template if it's available. Maybe in pdf or cad format?
Thanks,
Rich

Like to cut your dash to mount it there (I was thinking about doing that with my consol before I realized how beat up it would get)? If so I would just take the rubber boot out and trace that hole onto a piece of paper.

The cutout for the boot (grommet, as they call it) or just the footprint of the programmer case?

I'd prefer the cut-out for the boot if it's available. I got the idea from the member who had the off-road radio mount in place of the ashtray area. I've got some 1/8" black plastic (stereo installation) and going to make a panel. I'll put the programmer there with room for additional switches (back up halogens, exhaust cutout switch, aux. lights switch. I've also got carbon fiber to cover the panel and also to cover the trim piece that goes around the radio/climate control so that it will all match. Trying to do a professional job so if the cut-out template is available maybe I can avoid having to do this more than once. Just thought I'd ask.
Thanks,
Rich

I'll see if I can get the dimensions from Edge.

If bill doesnt have it, I could probably take my grommet boot out and put it on the cmm and generate a cad file/program for it.

Thanks guys... I appreciate the offer but this wasn't intended to make work for anyone. I just thought I'd ask if there was already a template file available. If there isn't, I can go old-school... not a problem. But please... don't go out of the way. I only meant that if someone could attach it to an email with a couple of clicks. Anything more than that just isn't worth their trouble.
Again... thanks. I'll post pics once I finish up.

You just gave an idea I could do with mine. I could put mine below my stereo. My original intentions for that space was going to be for putting aux switches but I should be able to fit a couple switches and my Gryphon.

Nice! I like the diamond plate :thumbs up yellow:
I was thinking about doing the same thing once I got around to upgrading the stereo.

Here's some pics of the finished project.
I used some 1/8" plastic sheets found on ebay. They're already scribed at 1/4" increments on the back side (as well as some circular scribes for gauges, etc..).
The size of the panel that replaces the ashtray flip-out is 9"w x 3"h.
I then used M4 bolts / nyloc-nuts to mount with nylon spacer standoffs. 1/2" stand-off for the top bolts and 1/4" stand-off for the bottom bolts.
I also purchased a carbon-fiber fabric for interior upholstery from ebay (yes... ebay addict here). Then using spray adhesive, I covered the new panel. So that the carbon-fiber look would match, I also scuffed and covered the trim panel (climate controls, radio, etc...) with the same.
Turned out well I think. I mounted the pod to the left so that I have room to mount switches, accessories at a later time. Plans are to add an exhaust cut-out and the hella grill with the halogen lights. Switches for both will end up in the extra space to the right of the Gryphon.

Looks great. Good job. Is it weird to look down there to read the engine parameters? I watch mine all the time and wouldn't want mine that low.
