I know its political but stuff like this isnt getting publicized in the national media. Please don't be mad at me.

Local School Suspends Student for Removing MEXICAN Flag

This was in TX we need to ring the phones off the hook at that school. NO other flag shall fly above the American flag.

Yesterday, a listener’s son was offended that his school, Klein Collins High School, display the Mexican flag prominently. His mother called to complain, and the school wouldn’t return her call. The student took the sign down.

The school pitched a fit, reviewed the surveillance tapes, found the student, and suspended him for 3 days. AND he has to pay for the flag. In light of the SF story of students sent home for wearing the AMERICAN flag because it offended the Hispanic students, I thought you’d like to know about a story closer to home.

Right here in our community. Feel free to let the school know what you think. You pay their salaries.

Klein Collins High School (832) 484.5500. Assistant Principal handling the case: Mr. Shelly ****. Seriously.

Call Mr. **** and let him have it. The Superintendent is Jim Cain.

You might as well get a phonebook out and go down the list because they aren't the only school that is like that over here. Me and a bunch of other people got in trouble in 8th grade for wearing camoflage because it was apparently "gang related". Meanwhile there were other kids in the corner smoking pot with their red bandanas and all black clothes who were considered "normal". Oh and to make it better it was winter during deer season. That camo coat was the only coat I owned and I had to drive to a store over 30 miles away and pay over $80 for a new coat just because a group of people from the city moved to a more rural (at the time) town and didn't like hunting. :cursin:

I'm all patriotic but...........
g. "When flags of two or more nations are displayed, they are to be flown from separate staffs of the same height. The flags should be of approximately equal size. International usage forbids the display of the flag of one nation above that of another nation in time of peace."

I can sum the situation up this way, the spoiled, bratty 16 year old that was given their daddy's new camaro obeys more laws than the school districts. Our family has had all kinds of trouble with our school district. If we could have afforded a lawyer I would have a huge house, whole fleet of sports cars and jacked up trucks and still not have to work another day in my life.

We got into something a bit similar to this over on f150online. This is the thread: Public school dress code? - F150online Forums (http://www.f150online.com/forums/general-discussion/416282-public-school-dress-code.html)

I usually try to keep out of discussions like this, because I may have to step in and shut them down when they get out of hand, but, for some reason, it "triggered" a response. Things got quite blown out of context.

I don't plan to say any more there.

88, thanks for posting that small reminder to us all about the respect we, as a civilized Country, are expected to show when we display the Flag of two or more nations.

And, to all of you - this forum is always civilized. Thanks for keeping it that way.

....some people are really thick.

I ain't touching it but that thread got so blown out of proportion by selective editing of the code I literally had to do this > :disbelief:

Typical problem of the internet, people feel so safe in their homes they have no problem being thick skulled jerks to everyone else.
