Not sure on a name yet. I am begining to thing they kids are going after the mini-zoo look. We have 2 dogs, 1 cat, 4 fish, a frog, a lizard and now a snake. Corey I would bet your boys have tried to bring something home:hehe: Its all good at least they are not wanting to play video games all day.

Let's see;
Red on yellow, kill a fellow.
Red on black, venom lack.

Ok, so I guess that's not the bad type of snake. Pretty cool. I always wanted to have things like that around. Didn't have many around our place growing up though.

Looks like a Long-Nosed snake? If so, it feeds on lizards, small mammals and sometimes insects and eggs. It likes to stay underground during the day, if I'm right, so you have some habitat construction to do.

It doesn't have the strong bands that some of the other similar ones have, like the Western Ground Snake.

It is a King Snake so now we are having to expand our animal stuff. I almost feel like Steve Irwin with as many animals that i got in my house.

The King Snake is a beauty isn't it? We see them in our yard every summer.

We caught all kinds of stuff. But for reptiles if their head was bigger than a nickle or it was big enough to eat a chicken egg or rabbit kit it was ant food. I caught all kinds of water critters though. I liked crawdads until we had 3 or 4 "escape". I ended up finding the last one hiding underneath a low shelf in my closet 3 YEARS after it escaped. I dont know how we didn't smell it. :hehe:

The next time I come to AZ I think Chuck+kids are going to have to take me rattle snake hunting.
I'll also have to tour the mini zoo!
:woohoo:
