I was taking my 3 year old a ride in the cart and i was making a hard right and the rear wheel hit a big rock and we flipped. Like a bonehead i stuck my arm ouy like i could stop it.

Yeah - that's not going to buff out.

Seriously, I'm sorry to hear that (nice pic BTW). Is your son (or daughter) okay?

And the cast will be on for ___ weeks?

She is fine, thanks for asking. We had our seat belts on. I go in Monday to see if its just gonna be a cast or if they are gonna put a plate in it.

That looks mucho painful. I hate the way the bone is separated and not really lined up anymore. Personally, I'd opt for something to connect the bone back together in it's former "shape".

I think a plate and a bit of welding would make you good as new! Hope you're right-handed!

And, like the others said, I'm grateful your daughter's OK.

OWW! I'm sure there were some colorful words from that ride! I rolled a go cart once but the roll bar just landed on my head and pinned it to the ground while everything slid...and people say having a thick skull is a bad thing. Glad yall are ok.

Ouch, hope you have an arm left after they get done.

As for that last picture, is your doctor a carpenter on the side? Three of those look like regular wood screws. ;) Hope you heal up quick!

NP Corey, some how I can't stay still and thats what bugs it the most. I am going to ask and see if the screws are supposed to go all the way through .

I dont think it's too bad with them just sticking out but that one looks like it is about 5 mm. Having the screws going through both sides of the bone is a good thing.
