I am in the middle of installing a pheonix chip on my '01 powerstroke and I've got a bit of a problem. When I was tightening down my PCM Connecter, I over tightened it:doh: and snapped the bolt off in the PCM. I already removed the peice from the PCM, But I can't figure out how to get the rest of the bolt and the head out of the harness. Anyone have any ideas? Does any one know if I can just cut off the head of the bolt and remove the rest of it through the other end of the plug? Thats what I'm wanting to do but I'm not sure how the bolt is held in there and I don't know if cutting the bolt head off will do me any good.:sigh:

You will need something to hold the connector in the PCM firmly.
Take the PCM to a shop and have the bolt extracted, unless you have experience doing this I would not attempt this.
Good Luck.

Ok I got it out. I just took some bolt cutters and cut off the head of the bolt and then I was able to pull it out and go get another bolt to fit it. I was a little unsure about cutting the head off the bolt, not knowing how it was held into the harness, but it has a washer on the inside and the head on the outside that holds it all together. Once I cut the head off the bolt, it all came apart and the new bolt just slid right into place.
