Well, I just sent my order form in for the remote PCM/FICM rollback for my truck. I'm excited and hope it doesn't take to long to get the programmer here. I hope it lives up to the hype!

Not sure, currently my truck has the latest flash from Ford. Anything would be better. I haven't heard back from anyone at PHP yet though. I did not notice they were closed until today when I sent the order in this weekend. I hope it doesn't get lost in the pile of emails they have!

Steve,

Have you tried phone, the live help, or entering a service ticket from the PHP website?

Power Hungry Performance - Feed your hunger for POWER! (http://www.phptune.com/) and click on the big 'Chat Now' button on the right (you'll need to setup a login/password), I've had best luck making contact that way (during their normal buisness hours).

Agreed with whats above...

I have not performed a ecm/tcm roll back...but I'd guess if you plugged it in, it would walk you throught it step by step. Just make sure you have enough battery power in your trucks batteries, and if you had a another programmer on the truck you are set back to stock.

There would be no harm in plugging the gryphon in and seeing what the options are....it is probably really simple and step by step......However DO NOT chose any of the options in the gryphon menu until:

A: you've heard from someone at PHP...Bill, Cody or Corey.

or

B: someone on the forum comments on the procedure and how its done.

You WILL NEED to talk to Bill and it will have to be done over the phone and possibly (if you're as computer un-savvy as I am) using a computer that is able to use the remote desktop function.

Just so folks understand...

ECM/TCM rollbacks must be handled by me over the phone as they require specific information to be extracted from the vehicle before proceeding. Otherwise, all the VID information (PATS information, VIN, and build data) would be erased could cause the ECM to set a DTC for "Corrupted VID Block". We extract that data from the ECM and build it into the replacement files which are then downloaded onto the unit and programmed into the vehicle's ECM/TCM.

FICM programming is completely self contained and can be handled by the customer without any need for assistance or intervention from us.

Stephen,

There isn't any contact information in your User CP (other than your first name) so I have no way to get in touch with you until we return to the office on Monday, Dec. 20th.

which is done first, FICM or ECM/TCM?

would a laptop make this process(ECM/TCM rollback) easier?

thanks for your time....

The device comes preloaded to handle the FICM program first. The ECM/TCM rollback will be handled via download. (ie. The laptop will definitely be handy.)

Take care.

The whole process take about 30-40 minutes so you don't have to take any time off... unless you... *ahem* ... NEED to. ;) :D Just let me know what would be a good time and we'll set something up for you.
