im getting ready to send my edge into you guys for an upgrade, but while the edge is away im taking my truck into the shop because i think somethings wrong with my tranny (shutters when shifting from 1st to 2nd, and sometimes 2nd into 3rd). I am returning the truck back to stock, but will it effect anything if they have to reflash my computer? I didnt know if the edge saves a code or anything?

I think that's is why they say to return to stock so they don't don't overwrite your tuning. If they reflash the HEX code is the same they just change the stock programming parameters. Others may respond that are more knowledgeable.

Before sending in the unit for upgrade, let the dealer do what they need to and when they are done make sure you reconnect the unit and at least read the HEX code. Otherwise, it's possible that we will build any custom files using the old calibration and they may end up being incorrect.

For best results, do a full programming session and then return to stock. This way, the PCM data will be stored in the unit and we can extract it when we receive it. :D

Take care.
