Hey all. I have been doing my reserch on chips and have decided to get the pheniox chip with 65tow and 100performance tunes. I do have one question. Does the high idle still work when you have your parking brake on and its cold out in these tunes of does it have to be in stock mode?

I'm pretty sure the stock high idle will be working in any of those tunes.
If you would like PHP offers a automatic high idle that can be combined in any tune.
Example, stock high idle only is functioning when the various temperature parameters are met: EOT below 70*C, Air intake temp below 0*, and a few other things such as the parking brake engaged for the manuals.
The combined automatic high idle will work at any temp and only wait 15 seconds after the parking brake is engaged.
Understandable? If it does or not, it would probably a good idea to read this thread about it http://forum.gopowerhungry.com/latest-news/5266-why-waste-position-w-high-idle.html

Yeah i get it, sounds like a good deal.
Does this option cost anymore than the standard tune or is the same price?

I was told if the high idle kicks on in the truck before the chip it will work the same with the chip installed. Mine does in any of the tunes on the chip, but I will say that the high idle position on the chip is great in the summertime to keep the A/C spinning if your just sitting idleing

All of the "normal" base strategies we use for the Phoenix chip have the high idle feature left intact in the tuning.
When using a programmer, it depends completely upon whether or not the pcm in the truck is programmed for it.
For instance, on an E99 auto truck with FUT4 will NOT idle up automatically regardless of temperature. A XLE4 (which is identically programmed other than the auto idle up) will do it. Same model year, same exact programming....except that feature. Using a programmer such as an Evolution/Gryphon or Superchips etc. will cause a non-auto high idle in a FUT4 truck. Using a Phoenix chip in a FUT4 PCM will give you that feature because the programming on the chip will be XLE4 programming.
