Sorry i first tagged this on the end of another post. I can program these new fangled computer- just can't run them :)
I just got my Gryphon(Edge) tuner and hooked it up. Everything went as it was supposed to until it got to the end of step 4 when it said 'file missing TASC3N4' - 'update required'
I know that its late Friday so PHP is probably closed but maybe someone knows what to do.
I downloaded the Edge Fusion program and got it working and when it saw the tuner it got a message that it had a problem with it and to call tech support.
Is there anything else I can do over the weekend or should i just wait until Monday and talk to PHP

Larry,
TASC3N4 is the calibration code for a Heritage Edition F150. Could you please check and make sure that you have model # GPFG150-9703. You should have the long, black dash pod, not the shorter gray one.
As for the calibration itself, TASC3N4 is not initially supported in the release calibration for the F150 but I do have an update you can download to include support for that calibration which will get you going.
Again, please verify the model number and the serial number and I'll get you download onto the server.
Take care.

Hi Bill
I was wondering if you had sent me the TASC3N4 file and I had missed it somehow or if I need to pick it up in a different location.
Thanks

Larry,
I didn't have the TASC3N4 done yet, just TASC3D4 and TASC3E4. Wanted to make sure we got the right codes for your truck. I'll be working on them later today and will give you a shout if I have any problems.
Take care.

Hi Bill
I have Pegasus installed and it is connecting to the Gryphon.
I'll be home for the next 3 hours 7 -10 am PST and then gone a couple of hours and then here the rest of the day.
Looking forward to talking to you.
Thanks

Hi Bill
This is getting interesting
I connected to Pegasus and then selected the Targeted Functions option and it appeared to run ok. At the end though it displays "Connecting to Bridge - please wait" and just stays there. I am not getting the message that it completed or the device restart.
Maybe this will be a clue of what is happening now.
Thanks

Larry,
Everything is working correctly. What the software fails to mention is that on the early vehicle programmers, instead of going to the disclaimer it goes to "Connecting to Bridge". This is perfectly normal. Simply unplug the unit form the USB (BEFORE you hit the OK button), reconnect and then click OK. At this point though, it really doesn't matter. Once the unit has restarted and has any sort of display on it, the update is finished.
Plug the unit in your truck and start programming. :2thumbs:

Hi Bill
I get the same message as the original problem when I try to program the truck "File missing TASC3N4 update required" This code is the Hex code that comes up when the unit first starts. I don't know if that means anything:shrug:
Are these Heritages assembled from a bunch of left over parts from 2003 and a few new parts of 2004 that don't match very well?
Thanks

Larry,
Sorry about that. I messed up and didn't include the new calibration in the list of supported files. All fixed now and ready for another download.
As for the Heritage, I hate to say it but they are rebadged 2003 leftovers. Not that there's anything wrong with them I just think it's a crappy way to market leftover vehicles. You know someone in marketing got a huge bonus for that idea!
Take care.

Hi Bill
That did it!
Program went right into the truck. Now I need to get on the road and see how it does.
Thanks
