Something strange. My laptop cannot download a datalogging session unless the Gryphon is unplugged. Is that normal? Ignition is off and all, but Pegasus cannot connect tot eh Gryphone. Unplug the unit, not= problems. I have the latest Pegasus update. Minor deal, really, but curious.

There's a "keep alive" power circuit that is active in the Gryphon if it has booted normally and is plugged into the truck. I suspect this is what is stopping a connection with your laptop.

I've never tried to connect my Gryphon to a PC while still connected to my truck, but, I'm guessing it cannot be done.

Gad Zukes, a lot of typos in my post!

Anyway, somebody else try it and see, if they get a chance. Sure would be nice to be able to datalog in real time. 5:40 just ain't cutting it for me in what I am trying to learn. Makes it lot's harder anyway.

Jack nailed it with the keep alive memory.

The only way to download a data log from the programmer is to have the unit unplugged.

I remember Bill talking about the capability to actively record from the truck to the programmer to the computer (somehow) but that was a project that kinda fell back on the list. Some day in the future maybe, for now you'll have to keep recording 5:40 at a time
