New to forum life. "they" said this was the best way to comunicate. Soo here it goes.
For the past 3 months been reading forums till my eyes bleed! Read all the links in the PSN “Best Chip/Programmer for the 7.3L” montage. AND MUCH MORE!
I have a basically stock 2001 F350 drw 4x4 with the 7.3. Have a DIY big filter intake and BTM exhaust. Truck has 280K, about 160K on rebuilt auto trans & rear end. Been well taken care of, fluids etc. Runs good. 90% of the time 80mph highway empty. 10% 30 foot goose neck steel stock trailer with 4 big horses 1200# each. Put about 500 miles a week on it.
Don’t need 16 position proprietary chip. Don’t need 6.
Like your, although proprietary, Gryphons solution. I get my gauges, diagnostics, and tunes in one box, about $800. Same $ as 6 pos and gauges separate. Downside; have to stop, key toggle, to change tunes.
What I Think I Need: 3 tunes; 1 highway eco, 1 tow strong deep in the peddle, 1 perky in town. With the following on all three:
1100 rpm high idle till near operating temp in park. Then after “whisper mode” in park.
I have read Bill is doing this, although I don’t know if he has put them together like this. I believe this would satisfy 90% of us regular guys out here. I will buy one.
Thanks and look forward to doing business with you.
