Hey guys looking for a little advace on exhaust.....

I am looking at MBRP exhast wich is less than 300 bucks for a 4 inch turbo back. This dosent include a muffler. So my question is how loud will this make my truck.... not sure that it matters but it is a turo back exhaust that is aluminized.....

Thanks

It sounds good. Not obnoxious, but throaty. You'll like the way it makes your truck sound and act, faster turbo spool.

Get the muffler.....

Strait sounds cool for about a week, then it gets old.

I love mine, only time it is really lous is under hard acceleration. Rest of the time its got a deep diesel truck sound. Sounds really good when driving around backroads.

Yea, just the pipe and exhaust clamps. But I didn't use the clamps. I had a muffler shop install it and weld it. The exhaust clamps sat outside for a month and rusted up before I threw them away. my kit came with the muffler but I had the shop to through in a delete pipe...coated an extra 150.

I'm with Dave on this one. I straight piped my 02 and loved it for about two weeks when it started getting old. The kicker was when my wife was driving it and we met on a back road. We stopped to talk, and when she took off I really noticed the 7.3 flutter. I put on a Magnaflow turbo back with muffler the next week. I kinda wish I had gotten the MBRP.

Thanks guys I bought a diesel for the specific reason I love the sound....not to mention the longgevity of the powerstroke. I order my exhaust wo the muffler figuring if I don't like it I can always add one.... now if diesel prices would come down... =(
