Sup guys, so I got my Gryphon and its badass.....love it. :cheesy smile:

I went to mount the dash pod and the measurements are off quite a bit...now its aftermarket..i understand that its not going to be a perfect fit. but this seems like its not for this truck.

This is the pod just sitting by itself w/o any pressure applied.

This is the way it sits when I apply pressure to the very top.

and this is the back part of it w/o any pressure applied.

Just wondering if everyone is pretty much the same...doesn't bother me that much but now I am trying to figure out how to anchor it if it is the right pod.

Thanks for the help!

The pod LOOKS like the right version. Can't you push down on the right side (as you look at it) so that it "snaps" onto the dash?

If it won't do that, I'd have to say you may have a pod with a manufacturing defect.

Then, get hold of PHP. There HAVE been improperly made pods in the past. I'm sure they'll get you fixed up.

By the angle of your pictures, mine does the same thing. You have to put enough pressure to spread the two dash panels and clip the pod down. By comparing to a fish scale I've got it probably takes at least 8-12 pounds of pressure to clip it in, sometimes more if it is new and being stubborn. Make sure everything is lined up, like the cable is in the appropriate "notch" so that it wont pinch.

Good work Longshot! :thumbs up yellow: And !Hellfire, with it snapped in that tightly, it's not going to fall off when you hit a bump.
