I just installed a TS Performance chip from Jim Rose with 6 of Bill's tunes to go along with the Stage 1's I got from Jim. Wow! She runs like a scalded dog now! One question though, my WTS light now only stays on for a couple seconds even when it's the first start of the day. Does that have anything to do with the chip?

Yes.
The TDE1/MLE1 (automatic or manual) strategies that are used in the 95-97 trucks have a shorter wait-to-start light on-time than the earlier calibrations. No worries.

Excellent. That's good to know. Thanks for the response!

I guess that would lead me to another question. Once it gets cold will the WTS light stay on longer? Even now, it's hard to believe the glow plugs have enought time to heat the cylinders adequately but it does start right up.

Yes. The light will stay on longer as it gets colder. If you ever have any doubts about it, you can always leave the key in the run position for a longer period of time before you crank the engine. The glow plug relay will still be energized for a longer period of time than what the light says anyway.

As long as it fires right up like it does now (I have no reason to think it won't), I'm happy.
Thanks Cody.
