Title says it all. I'm looking at removing the AIH on my truck and using the plug to run a boost gauge. There are options to remove the AIH and replace it with a resistor so the computer doesn't throw codes, but can the Phoenix remove the check completely so I can remove the AIH relay entirely?

I removed mine completely.. it throws a soft code but not a visible code unless you plug in a scanner and no the chip wont remove it, but the resistor is easy to use.

Here's an idea:

Leave the relay and associated wiring intact. You can pull the large gauge red wire off the top of the AIH relay and put it in the glove box. As long as the signal wire is put back on the relay, you won't have any trouble with "throwing" a code.

I had been lead to believe that with the removal of the AIH element, the computer would see the fact that there isn't a load. If that's not the case, I should be good to go.
