During the summer I ran into a few problems because of the extreme heat. I live in north Texas and I do not get extreme cold weather but it still gets below freezing and snow. Can the cold weather damage the tuner?

It won't damage anything but it may slow down the screen.

AND, you should not try to program the truck when components are cold. If the temps are cold, make sure the engine is thoroughly warm from driving (which will also warm the PCM) before you try to change the program (with the engine off, of course).
