I have a 2007 5.4L F150 and will soon have the Gryphon. I have a K&N air intake system and a Dynomax Bullet true dual exhaust setup with x-pipe. I'm looking for the best bang for my buck. Please let me know the performance differences between the two and provide any recommendations you'd like. The cost of 87 vs 93 gas is not a factor in my choice either.

If fuel cost is not a factor go with the 93. The 87 performance is a great improvement over stock but it falls short of the custom 93 tunes.

93 if fuel costs aren't going to be a factor....

You could get both and try them yourself....imo

Thanks guys for your input. I think I'll get both, but mainly run the 93 tune. Now I just need to decide between the traditional Gryphon or the Gryphon CTS...

Traditional has more user option adjustments for the buck....

Cs/cts has more bling for the buck.....

The traditional Gryphon will suit my needs just fine. I understand that custom tunes are $30 each, but does the $399 price tag include the dash mount pod and shipping?

When you get your gryphon, if you order a tune with it, it is free. One tune, free with the purchase.

After that, it is $60 per tune.

IMO if you are looking for more pep in your step(truck) just go with the 93 performance, not sure why you would use 87 unless it is to save money, in which you said you aren't worried about...

That was a temporary promotion I think. If you buy the programmer from them it is $30 per tune.

OK, now I'm really confused...

When I bought my Gryphon the offer was; one $30 custom tune if you ordered it at the same time you purchased the Gryphon. Any custom tunes after the original order offer were $60 each.

Did I miss some special?
