New guy question

I just joined this Forum and I have an Edge Programmer on my 07 F-150. I was wondering what a canned tune is exactly and how is it different than the 3 tuning levels that come on the Edge for example.

PS- Had I known that PHP existed before I bought my :censored1: Edge I would have def. gone with the gryphon. Why would you sell a programmer that is made for a stock truck but not tell the buyer that the proggrammer will make your truck run like crap if you do any mods!

Oh well any information will be appreciated!

There is no difference between the 2 as far as the canned tunes go. The main thing is that php can build you custom tunes to replace the canned ones. You can choose from 1 2 or all 3. Most of us only replace the first 2 and leave the #3 canned alone.
Edge does not offer custom tunes.

Custom tunes are what is best for you and your truck. Jack described it best "canned tunes are like a suit from a department store and custom tunes are like a suit from a taylor"

Customs do take longer approx 5-8 weeks.
