Default Running a KOEO test

Could somebody please tell me the proper way to run a KOEO test on a 6.0L with the Auto Enginuity. Not fully understanding the break pedal and steering wheel thing. The truck is a 2004. Thanks!!

Ford's diagnostic strategy has always been a little weird but it's always been ok.

The brake pedal and steering wheel thing shouldn't be running during the KOEO testing....only the KOER test.

The diagnostic routine takes some time. Any time during the test (when it asks you to do so) you turn the steering wheel 180 degrees, depress the brake pedal, and hit the TCS (OD off) button. The 6.0L might have a different name or not require the TCS push.

During those tests, the PCM looks for a brake pedal input since it needs to know this for cruise control and torque converter operation. It also wants to see the power steering pressure switch input because the PCM will correct for RPM losses when the steering wheel is turned at an idle.
