Default Cylinder rotational percentage

AE v7.3.2

Have not tried it in a long time but tried today and it didnt work. All cylinders read "0.0". I dont remember what software version or even truck for that matter it last worked on. What could be the problem?

I can't help much as I don't own AE. However, most scan tools I have used won't show a reading (since the PCM isn't calculating yet) if the engine oil temperature isn't at a certain point (high enough).

I'll alert Bill and see if he has any ideas!

It seems to me to be an issue of what PCM/Yr the truck is. I've got friends that it works everytime. on my 02 F550 I get the same as you. I've heard issues about the EOT has to be so high. Also the if the AIH is disconnected it won't work. I've tried it all. mine still won't read.

I have definitely had it work on this particular truck in the past. The ONLY difference would have been the version of AE. Nobody can explain this?

Never run into that issue. Your best bet would be to check with AE and see if they have an answer. (480) 827-8665. They do have an update to v8.0 which was released on Nov. 30th and can be downloaded here... (http://www.autoenginuity.com/dloads/...ol_install.zip)

Also, sometimes a chip can interfere with specific diagnostics. Do you have the chip installed in the vehicle at this time? Have you tried the diagnostics with the chip removed?

Keep us posted if you're able to resolve this.

Maybe I can help. What you are talking about is also called PERDEL. Percentage of Deceleration. It shows for all cylinders and it is the decrease in crankshaft velocity when the cylinders are firing. These all should be at 0% and should be no more than 3-5%. If you have the different injector in #8 you may see a higher number than the rest and if you have the newer Ford recall CPS it might through them numbers a bit higher also. So at 0% your
