Default Do I need to remove my FU

Unfortunately I am starting to have tranny issues so I am bringing my truck to a Cottman transmission to have the fluid changed in hopes that it fixes my prob. After driving the truck for a while I am assuming the tranny is haeting up and it doesnt want to shift out of first gear and the OD off lights starts to blink but if I shut the truck down for a while and restart the lights does not flash and the tranny shifts just fine. My question is do I need to remove my FU before Cottman hooks their computer up to my truck or will my tunes be fine????

Their scan tools will work either way, but I would pull it just in case. If they see it they might not warranty their work.

Default Tranny shifting problems

I have experienced this problem before. I believe if you remove the chip and drive the truck without the chip in it, it might solve your problem. It might not be your tranny it might be something with the chip or a connection.
