Default Did i fry my chip???

i have the FU burner and chip and have reburnt my chip 4 times with no problems. then today i went to update tunes and it says my software is out of date, so i went on and downloaded the new pheonix software. but now after i select tunes and the pop up says place in position 1, i press ok, and an error comes up that says the chip is not formated. it says check in utilities and see if the multi chip authorization s FC but mine is FF.

If this should be in the "truck wont work/emergency/stranded" section then you might expect Bill to respond on a weekend, but if it does work then they probably wont respond until monday. if it is an emergency I would call though, it would make things go quicker than waiting online.
I would try and help but I don't know anything about the FU chip or the FU2 chip. :/

Check your burner power relay. Over-zealous installation of the chip into the burner can dislodge the relay and cause you this exact problem.

If your relay is in fact where it should be, your switch is in the first position, and you are getting "FF" for CID, it's likely that it's fried.

You can send us yours and we will tell you if it's fried or not for sure. However, if the CID says "FF" even if the switch is in position 1 and the power relay on the burner is intact, I'd say you need to buy a new chip.
