Question Why Can't Pegasus Find My Custom Tunes?

Sometimes, when you try to download and install custom tunes on your Gryphon, Pegasus can't seem to find them. There are several possible reasons and things you can do:
1. The tunes have not been written yet! Don't laugh, but some people expect them to be done immediately. It usually takes 1-1.5 months for Bill to get to YOUR custom tunes since he is so busy. The solution is to wait for Bill to tell you the tunes are done.

2. You received an email telling you your custom tunes are ready, but Pegasus can't seem to find or install them. There are four possible reasons:
a. Pegasus does not "see" your Gryphon when it is connected to the computer. If the Gryphon screen stays red, or if Pegasus does not indicate that your Gryphon is connected, the USB drivers for the Gryphon probably are corrupt. You will have to uninstall Pegasus and the USB drivers. See: How To Repair A Faulty Driver Installation for the steps to follow.

b. This is the first time the Pegasus program has ever been run. Due to a bug in the software, Pegasus must have already been run at least once on your PC, shut down and then started again before it will be able to access PHP's server. This will not be the problem if this is the second or subsequent time you have run Pegasus, so this condition is very rare.

c. Pegasus is unable to resolve the hostname of PHP's server. This problem happens occasionally. If the first two problems don't seem to be the issue, try typing the host server IP address directly into Pegasus. With Pegasus running, click on [Options]->[Alternate Server IP] and type "70.88.177.206" directly into the text entry boxes you see (replacing the "zeros") and click on [Save]. See if Pegasus can find your tunes now.

d. There has been a Serial Number "mixup" or error in the identification number for your tunes. Your tunes ARE on the server, but because they are identified with the wrong S/N, Pegasus does not recognize them. Your only solution if this is the case is to contact Bill at PHP, so that he can correct this error.
Hopefully, going through these troubleshooting steps will speed up your tune installation if there is a problem. If I learn of any other issues, I will add them to this troubleshooting list.
