There are times in a man's life when he wishes that he didn't have to answer to someone else.

My wife put the skids on upgrading to Minotaur.

Thank you so much Bill and Corey for catering to me for the past week and keeping in touch. Thank you Bill for the conversation. MAYBE I can still get something, sometime. But I have to make some money with what I have first says the keeper of the checkbook. :sigh: It's tough when the breadwinner can't get what he wants.

Thank you!!!

Cody

Oh well.... :( I completely understand. If there's anything I can do to help you along and get the first investment paid off, let me know.

Maybe it would help if I talked to the accounting department?? Well, probably not.

Take care, bro.

Bill,

Would you still be willing to shoot me a price on the items we discussed? I may be able to still shmooze a bit and get my way if she knows EXACTLY how much $$$$ we're talking about since all I could give her was a ballpark figure. She's not mad at me...she just has too good of a head on her shoulders and isn't so easily persuaded. :) Maybe I should put her to better use than just a housewife, huh? I'll tell her to get a job :evillol:......................................... ....................... on second thought, a clean house and warm dinner when I walk through the door after a long day of :censored3: work sure is nice.

I'm buying flowers tonight.....:yesnod:

Thank you!

I wholeheartedly wish that were true, Corey. I could have my wife call you and she could back up my story!! ;)

If you don't believe me, just ask me and I'll tell you! :notallthere:

Oh, I totally believe you! Bill came home and humbly asked, "If I get [X, Y, and Z] done, do you think we could get Rock Band for the Wii?"

It's not like he has to check with me before spending money -- it's just what married people do. I totally get it, Cody, and I can't blame her a bit!

Cody,

I completely understand about having someone to pull the reins back on you sometimes. If Corey didn't keep me in line, I'd have a house full of stuff and no house to put it in.

We'll put a price together for you and hopefully we'll be able to get this worked out for you. :2thumbs:

The story......

I've got the remainder of some mutual funds that were started back in the late 70s. I received my quarterly statement and decided that I need to get the money out....now. :'( I had a lot more in the 3rd quarter of '07 and now I'm down to half of that amount right now.

If I don't pull out, I will be down to nothing by the end of the year....I better do something with it!! :evillol:

:woot:

I got the  from my wife concerning the purchase!

The scene couldn't have been any more sweet. We were outside and I was working on the horse trailer because we've got a HUGE 3000 mile round trip to take to Arizona. Reason being that we're taking care of a horse trade for her mother. It turns out that my wife was looking at horses for sale this afternoon and found one that interested her. She was thinking of ways to get the money. Well, I piped up and mentioned the mutual funds and that I would buy it for her. She instantly said that it wasn't fair.....I wanted Minotaur and instead she'd get a horse with my money. So I insisted that it wasn't a big deal and she told me that if she wanted a horse, she'd just use the savings account. She said I could buy Minotaur. :woot:

So..........
Bill, do you still have that finalized list of separate items that I need? If not, I will send you another email. If you still have it, shoot me an email with the final price....I'll be contacting my accountant when I know how much I need. cleatus12r@yahoo.com

It's just too bad that I have to learn a new "language" between the two different programs I'll be using.

Oh well, this is gonna rock as long as I can sell a chip that doesn't require a double key up to work.......:'(

I need to find out where that dang money is!! :yesnod:

You'll get cool technical posts alright.....

Yeah, right. My 8 months experience vs. Bill's 13 years. HA HA

If I come up with anything earth-shattering, you'll be the first to know.
