looking to put split shots in a new truck I got that has a bad injector I have some in the shop that are laying around and toying with the idea to see if I can get truck drivable until I get new single shots or would I not have enough oil to run them?

You would have plenty of oil to run them as long as you limit your pulse width a good bit.

now I have minotaur and have no problem making some changes but have not got a definition file for that truck and dont have another blank ts chip... do you think I could throw them in and get it drivable without tunning for a few days?

It'll run, but the pulse width will be too low at an idle so it will idle really crappy.

Yes it will have a bad idle but it will run ok.

So when doing this change of splits to singles or singles to splits what all is generally changed for the programming? Have an extensive knowledge of the internal workings of injectors it seems to me it would mainly be a timing issue as the splits have to get through the pilot shot and cut the pw back for singles for the same reason.

I've had my tuning software for awhile but just recently got my truck back on the road so I've barely even looked at it yet. What tables would you be looking at to make these changes?

I would go ahead and run them.

I am running them in my '97 non CA. truck and they are excellent. If you get tuning and an electric fuel system or a CA. fuel system your truck will run great.

Yeah Joe but you've never had good tuning for singles either. There is mo bedda power to be had with singles. ;)
