Ford and Rev-X

REV-X continues to have great success in solving the sticky injector issue that has continued to plague Power Stroke owners. For more information about this issue Click Here.

Had a buddy put it in his 6.0 and within 15 miles he already notice a difference, he said the engine just started running much smoother.

He still has a bad injector, but it helped quite a bit........lol.

We actually became dealers based upon our customers' feedback! :thumbs up yellow: Just need to get it on the website and order form. We're planning on offering a package deal with the FICM Tuning and/or ECM Rollback.

Cool I'm gonna buy some for the Excursion and the work truck :-)

Corey Cohron RIP Mon, July 26th, 2010 03:30 PM

Bill's going to dyno the Expy and the 7.3L before using it and after so that we'll be able to share some numbers. I've heard nothing but good things about it!

Farmer11 Mon, July 26th, 2010 03:50 PM

it made a huge difference for me!!!:happy-dancing:

Nothing like Hot Shot Secret. I have seen post from those who have tried HSS and got no results. Later added Rev-X and problems clear up. Rev-X will not fix a damaged injector, yet it will clear up problems from the cold start up to the time the motor gets to temp. If your 6.0 runs bad after warmed up. Rev-X will probably not help.

I only have about 70 or 80 miles since add 2 bottles but engine is noticeably quieter & seems to start easier. Thinking it was just in my head (spend $60 it has to do something right) but the wife noticed the noise right off. I wanted to see if it was half what it's talked up so I didn't change oil, just put it in with about 3k on this oil. I run Delvac 15-40 dino & change at 5k. Maybe this ain't snake oil!

cleatus12r Thu, August 19th, 2010 03:55 PM

Thanks for the update, CJ.

I have to put that stuff in my truck before I hit the road back to Montana.

cj45lc Thu, August 19th, 2010 04:24 PM

Yes I have always thought quieter is better so maybe there is something to this. I'll be interested to see what the dyno says when Bill checks it out in his 7.3 Hey thanks for the stickers

cj45lc Thu, August 19th, 2010 04:32 PM

Almost forgot, thank you for the stickers! Hope you have a good trip Cody, & thanks for all your help!!

If the truck appears to have no issues, will the rev-x be beneficial? I have read about the stiction issues with the 6.0. So will it help a healthy truck?

Power Hungry Thu, November 11th, 2010 05:58 PM

Many of the current Rev-X users have noticed an improvement even if they weren't experiencing any obvious stiction problems. I would say the benefits are probably not as impressive as those experienced on a problem truck, but there should still be some benefit.

I'm going to be doing a before/after test on our truck as son as I get the oil changed. It's a 7.3L, so again the gains might not be what others experience, but I'm curious if there will be anything noticeable.

Stay tuned for results. :)

Are you going to use in a gas vehicle?
Thought it was for diesels?

cj45lc Fri, November 12th, 2010 07:02 AM

I'm real interested in what you find on your 7.3 Bill. The only thing I have to go by is the romping I was getting before. I guess there are a multitude of things that would contribute to the romps & I'm just guessing the injectors are probably tired 184k. Oil always changed @ 5k intervals since I've bought it with 45k on it. I will say that when I added the Rev-X I did a little different in that I ran the oil about 2500 miles then added the Rev-X, my thinking was that I had pretty good idea of how mine ran on fresh oil. The engine got quieter in the time that I would guess it took to go through the HPOP. I haven't had a romp since & I really believe it fires quicker on starts.

Power Hungry Fri, November 12th, 2010 10:19 AM

88,

Rev-X is simply an oil additive. There no reason to think that there wouldn't be any benefit on gasoline engines as well as diesels. That's why we're going to give the Expy a shot. I've got to get the 75K maint done next week and will dyno before and after the Rev-X treatment.

CJ,

That's good to hear. The guy at Rev-X indicated that he'd seen positive results on the 7.3L as well, although maybe not as significant as the 6.0L. I guess we'll find out soon. :)

Jeremy Fri, November 12th, 2010 09:35 PM

I didn't notice much on my 7.3 with it, but was alittle quieter. The 6.0L was noticable though, much smoother. I need to order more, I used it in my 06, my 00 7.3 and the 05 Ex. The Ex hasnt really responded to as well as the 06 did but its still better. Now that its getting colder at night 25F, I'll see if it helps with the colder starts.

Jeremy Sun, November 28th, 2010 06:28 PM

Cold Start report...

Spend the Thanksgiving holiday at the family cabin in Montana. So I had a chance to see how the rev-x performed for cold starts on the 05 Ex. The Ex has a non-heat inductive flash in it, its a stock 03 program as I requested from Bill. Before on a mildly cold day 35-40F, the Ex would struggle, pop off and die when started at these temps. I believe I have at least one weak injector, that will be replaced here in a while. I waited to replace it so I could see how the rev-x helps a truck with weak injectors...like most of us probably have. :matt-roloff: Well I decided to use a day that hit 0F. We had few days that hovered around -15F but I do not like starting them un-aided(no block heater) at those temps especially with 15w40 in her. IMHO its not good for the engine. So at 0F she fired right up, and had the usual 6.0 cold start clatter. It started and ran without dying...so I'm very pleased with the results. The product seems to do as the claim.

my $.02

So did you ever do the Dyno test w/ the Rev-X?

I am tempted to run it, if for no other reason the crappy ULSD fuel...should help keep the lubrication properties of the oil, I'm running AMSOIL 10-40CJ-4 at 10K intervals.

Just curious!
:whistle1:
