Hydra Help....
Hello All! I got the #1 Hydra yesterday. Have the computer out of the truck trying to put calibrations on the Hydra and no matter which computer I use. When I plug the chip into the USB port on the computer with HydraFlash up. It says there is a malfuntion. Windows does not recognize the chip and HydraFlash never recognizes that the chip is plugged in. I need HELP....

Hoss, I've moved your thread here, because the "Emergency" forum is only for those with disabled trucks.
I don't have an answer for your problem, and if there's nothing in an "owners manual" about it, you'll probably just have to call Bill at PHP to get things fixed. I know he's hard to reach, but keep trying. - Jack |
Wel - Ya know.... My truck is down.... I have the computer out to put the chip in and I have to be on the road in about 2 1/2 hours. I put it in Emergency because I was hoping for so help and wasn't expecting it to be moved. I have the #1 oredered Hydra and really was wanting it in the truck asap. It kind of upsets me that for all the cost it won't seem to work...

Corey answered me on the other thread and Billy is calling me soon....

Just our luck... a bad USB cable. Luckily, it was an easy fix! :)

I received my Hydra yesterday, I haven't installed it yet but did do the programming tonight. I had a bad USB cable as well, swapped out the USB and the computer recognized it right away. A few tries with plugging and unplugging the USB so the proper drivers could be installed and I was up and running. Now that both the bootloader and standard driver sets are installed on my computer it recognizes immediately. Perhaps a bad batch of USB cables?
I should get it installed this weekend. |

Hmm... sorry about the inconvenience. Looks like we need to start looking for a new USB cable manufacturer... :matt-roloff:
