Possible cable issue?

Have a gryphon for my 98 and yesterday my battery died and when I got a new one put in my gryphon won't come on. I unplugged it a few times and then plugged it into my comp and it went green but this morning still nothing.

Suggestions?

You didn't say, but: Did you plug the Gryphon in with the ignition ON? The ignition has to be ON, engine OFF when you first plug the Gryphon in to the OBDII port. If it's not done this way, the Gryphon cannot initialize.

If it went green plugged into your PC, it means it was connected properly to Pegasus.

Then it could be the cable. Strange it would happen all the sudden though. Did you try to jump start the truck with the Gryphon still plugged in?

Yes. It was plugged in while jumping the truck ask I have done a few other times before with no issues.

It was weird. The battery died and my gryphon won't come on also :(

It didn't come on when I turned the key to the on position while charging the battery also.

Cable tag says

Lot# 11mon-0000

OK, I think you fried the cable when you jumped the truck. There are posts in the forum about the need to disconnect the cable anytime you have battery/charging issues.

You'll need to get in touch with PHP. I suspect they'll agree with this diagnosis and, the only cure is a new cable.

Try the new "live chat" system on Monday.

Fair enough. My only issue with that is I've jumped it 3 times prior and nothing went wrong. Plus I hooked it up to the charger and then turned the key to the on position and it didnt turn on even before I started the truck.

Just because it has worked in the past doesn't mean it wont change. You were probably really lucky before.

Was this discussed more than just online?
