Why you don't keep running an engine when you hear a noise!

I rebuilt the transmission in this tractor for a friend of mine last winter, now he called me up this fall saying the engine was making noise and then wouldn't turn over any more. So I went and tore into it last week - turns out number six exhaust valve broke and rattled around for a while. Just thought ya'll might like to see pictures of the damage. Happy Thanksgiving!

Ugly! At least it wasn't the transmission. :) (It can be hard to convince someone that when you're touched something that later breaks that it wasn't your fault.)

Less damage than what would've happened with a Harley motor.....
