97-03 Gryphon Programmer

As of April 15, PHP will no longer offer the Gryphon Programmer for 1997-2003 F-150 trucks. We will, however, continue to Upgrade 97-03 Evos so that they can be custom tuned.

Please know that this is purely a business decision and has nothing to do with last year's cable issue.

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Bummer!:(

Will it still be supported and be able to get custom tunes down the road?

Heritage F150 Gryphon!!???

I have just ordered a Gryphon for my 03 F150!!?? Is there a specific reason that I should be aware of, surrounding your decision to discontinue the Gryphon for my truck!? If there are potential problems that I will be experiencing, I would like to know this in advance. There isn't alot of feedback pertaining to problems with this product and my Heritage F150. Maybe I should cancel my order!!?? Somebody give me some answers, please

Excuse me.
Heritage F150's were 2004.
There are no problems with the edge es on which the gryphon is based on.
And
No problems with the gryphon itself.
So if you want a "gryphon" you'll have to do the upgrade option.
Which is.........
Buy a new or used edge es for the 97-03+04H F150's and send it in to get upgraded.
PHP's decision was a business one and one not based on any issues.
JMHO

Peace!:)

Actually there is 2003 Heritage, the real Heritage edition. The 2004 models that have the 97-03 body style they called "Heritage" as left overs.

Yes I agree with you!
BUT the 2003 heritage was the aniversary edition an 03 with aniversary badges that's it.
To help tuners parts stores dealers techs or anyone who deals in vehicles the leftovers which were the 2004 old body style are known as heritage to help even more differentiate between the old and new 2004 body styles.
So quite typically when one is versed in vehicle descriptions the 2003 comes up as an aniversary and the 2004 comes up as the heritage.
Thus to eliminate any confusion as what could've happened here.

I just bought a used gryphon for my 01. Will I still be able to come by and have Bill write a custom tune for it?

sean46 Sun, March 14th, 2010 11:53 AM

^^^Im hoping someone can answer these questions soon as well! I was hoping to order today so I could take advantage of the free shipping but not so sure if I should now. Just dont want to end up with a $400 paperweight.

88Racing Mon, March 15th, 2010 09:47 AM

Geeeeez Guyz!!!!!
PHP will still support their products.
Always have and always will.
"Paperweight?"
That title goes to TB spacers on fuel injected vehicles with multi port injection.
PHP decided on not to sell NEW ones.
Upgrades are still available from the edge to gryphon and Bill will still write custom tunes for them.

'Nuff said.
