Please help me after FICM reprogramming with strategy..?

Hello Everyone,

Well I just did the FICM rollback and I have a few questions. I followed the directions and everything seems to have worked, the truck starts and runs good and the post shut-down injector buzz is gone.

I was wondering if the FICM rollback changes the strategy on the truck or does that happen when the ECM rollback happens? becuase my strategy is that same as it was before.

Also I am now getting a code when I hooked up my SCT to the truck I am getting code U0306: Software incompatibility with FICM. What does that mean?

Is it alright to drive the truck?

Thank you for the help.

William :confused::confused:

You're good, Uo306 just means the FICM program does not match the FICM program that the PCM expects to see, Its harmless.

You will not see a change in the strategy because the FICM has its own and the SCT cannot read the FICM strategy.

That will only change if you roll it back.

I thought I did have it rolled back? So the strategy that the SCT reads is the PCM strategy? Just trying to figure things out.

Thanks,

William

Well kind of, When I said rollback I was refering to the PCM. Your FICM was reprogramed to one of PHP's ficm programs, depending on which FICM program you selected from the programmer.

Yes the SCT can only read the PCM strategy. The strategy the PCM has will change if you roll back the PCM to an earlier program...and the SCT will show that.

I hope that helps
