Air Dog vs. Regulated Return

I know the air dog is a pump and filter set up. The regulated return, from Diesel Innovations, has no filtering but still says it ups the pressure to 65-75psi. Which is better? They are both around $500. The air dog 2 replaces the whole fuel system, but is $660. Is this really gonna help as much they claim?

If you are running stock injectors I would do the regulated return.

FWIW I ran a stock fuel system with a reg. return and 238 /100% hybrids with no drop in pressure at WOT.

If you do the airdog system it's really hard to use a two tank system. Most using that switch to a single fuel tank. The stock fuel pump can support 500hp, electric fuel is just a little better regulation...

THere are lots of posts about making your own electric fuel system at ford-trucks.com diesel forums also.

the air dog returns it's fuel back to the filler neck which makes it difficult to run the dual tanks b/c u r trying to run the return fuel line from the engine which goes through the selector valve to figure which tank it goes back to, but the air dog return will only go back to a single tank so what happens if you fill up and your not on the tank with the air dog return running to it??most would switch to a single tank if they wanted to run the air dog pump. personally i run a regulated return with a stock SD pump, but i don't feel that the SD pump flows enough fuel to go bigger than 200cc injectors. there are bigger pumps that we can put in place of the SD pump in a reg return system as well. i would do regulated return if it was me. :thumbs up yellow:
