Water/Meth Injection

I've played with this idea before, now I'm serious. Been looking on my phone for about the past 3hrs. Is re-tuning a must to run water/meth or is it more beneficial? I got my eve on a cooling mist kit. I can engage the system with my AerForce gauge. It has an annunciation (spelling?) feature that will an electrical signal to the relay when boost gets to a set point. At what boost level is safe to introduce water/meth? And does anyone use windshield washer fluid?...what kind? I'm mainly looking for lower egts and some power gain.

Ive seen someone on a forum said they mixed in some....???...water base machine cutting oil? Anybody heard of something like that? Idea is to keep everything lubed up to fight rust.

I'm going to wait for my gauge to come back to make sure its working right before I decide which route to take.

The overall benefits to water/meth far outweigh any negatives. There is much discussion about the addition of water based oils to help reduce the possibility of rust on some of the components, but as long as you use a little common sense you shouldn't have any issues. I love the Snow Performance kit I have on the 6.0L and would recommend it to anyone, whether you're looking for more power, improved EGT control, or both.

Thanks for the reply. I looked at the Snow Performance kits but they seem priceier. And I'd like to use my own tank, snow performance kits come with a tank, at least all that I've found.

Unless you think it necessary to do sooner, I think ill just wait to get the FU before I'd retune for the water/meth. Could you check out one of my previous threads "guessing pcm code" and help me figure out what all order forms I will need.

Thanks
