Air Intake Heater Control by PCM

Can the air intake heater be turned off in the PCM?

I would image so, just finding the right things to change is the hard part.

I did manage to find about 6 parameters with IAH(I'd venture to guess intake air heater, even if it might usually be AIH) as part of the name, as well as a few other parameters that I think are related.

Anyone recall what the AIH is activated off of? Is it EOT and ambient air temp? Those two values are sandwiched inbetween the list of IAH(or AIH) parameters

Yes. In addition, the AIH is only activated if the glow plugs are off.

I was honestly not even looking for this, but here's what I came across last night while surfing the net.

With that being said, the parameters I found are here. Must set level to "genius." I'd say it was in the bottom 1/8th, and it took a long time to find.

I figure you could pretty effectively shut off the AIH by setting the the highlighted parameter to say -40.
