No start... Need advice

I installed my chip. At first it started fine but the chip didn't work. I removed it all and cleaned the contacts some more. After that it wouldn't start. Cleaned it a little bit more and it started for a few seconds then died. If I unplug the chip the truck runs fine and starts right up. I used a brass brush and some emery cloth to clean it. Mine had a lot of silicone on it. Do y'all think that I could be that it's just not making food contact?

Since this is in the FU section, I assume you have an FU chip.

Did you flash any calibrations to the chip initially? They are sent out blank.

Yes. I have the fu. I did burn the chip. My high idle did work for a few seconds

Sounds to me like there is something amiss between the chip and the PCM circuit board if it worked at some point.

I got it. Took the PCM out today and in the sunlight I could tell that it wasn't clean enough. Scraped some more silicone off with a toothpick and passed some scotch bright over it after to finish. Working flawlessly. The power from this chip is unreal. Feels like a new truck

I'm currently making a video of how to clean the connector right the first time!

Brass Brush is the ONLY way to clean it right the first time IMO.
