Just everyones best times are? mine so far was a 7.1, before my cust perf tune :woot:

8.2 was the best I got on the Expedition, but we've got 3.31 gears and big, heavy tires. 7.0-7.5 Seconds seems about normal for many trucks.

Woo cant wait to see if the little old 4.6 can't break into the 6's pretty soon here :woot:

Longshot270 Tue, October 6th, 2009 04:01 PM

:disbelief: dang and 8.5 is my record. Bummer. lol

fordkindaguy Tue, October 6th, 2009 05:23 PM

Yikes  could be that brush guard weighing you down? my truck ran 8.6 stock well with the cai and cat back... You might not be holdin your tongue right

Longshot270 Tue, October 6th, 2009 05:31 PM

It might but I doubt it. I know its heavy but its not THAT heavy. I'm a skinny gringo and I can lift it. lol

I was getting 9's before the programmer, then 8.5-9 with the canned tunes (all three, but with lvl 1 & 3 modified). I've also been getting the same numbers with Bill's performance tune. I was kinda hoping for the occasional 7 but I guess that the "no replacement for displacement" hold true for my truck.:sigh: Price I pay for having the 4.6 I guess. Not that I dont like Bills programming, I definitely like how it shifts. Glad the loud pipes and other stuff scare away most of the ricers over here. :giggle:

Hmmm idk what to tell you my 4.6 runs like new at 103k... though i never had it when it was new :cry-blow: haha, now the only problem i run into is traction off the line. My back right always breaks traction off the line which slows me down :cursin:. I know what youre talking about with scaring away the ricers! nothin beats the roar of a super 44. woo i was a poet and didnt know it!:thumbs up yellow:

I also have the 3.55 LS in the back which I'm betting makes a real difference on the 0-60's and 1/4 mile. Wasn't designed for acceleration as much as the 3.73's and 4.10's, but it works amazing off the road. Just the blacktop where I'm having trouble :cursin: No power on dry and WAY too much on wet. lol I dont mind the wet driving as much though, before all this rain we've been in extreme draught. At the moment I'm running straits with a turn down under the cab/bed section. Ford was cheap enough to just put an 8 inch extension sleve with a 2.5 inch pipe clamp instead of running the main pipe all the way, but it worked out for me. lol

Does anyone else have good times with the 4.6? If so what axle?

fordkindaguy Tue, October 6th, 2009 05:56 PM

How can i check which gears i have?

Longshot270 Tue, October 6th, 2009 06:07 PM
