turbo set-up tuning
 

To tune a truck with a custom turbo, would it require for it to be tuned on the dyno , or is just giving the specifics of the set up enough?

I believe that you should do it on the dyno, if it is a common turbo setup then you can get a preliminary tune so you can drive it to the dyno to get it done the right way.
Each truck has a different base tune, and you have to base all your changes off of that tune, so yes you can a more generic tune than a dyno tune to run, but if you want the safest and fastest tune you will need to get on the rollers.
plus with a dyno tune it will be automatically adjusted for your altitude and if you have a good person doing the tune, you can have it adjusted to your driving style.

Thanks for the response, so in order to have it dyno tuned by PHP i would have to take it to their shop? is there a way they can tune it without me leaving texas.

You have a few options, you can organize a local dyno day, you can try a live tuning session, or ask bill to perform a large favor... :hehe: I would check their website, Power Hungry Performance - Feed your hunger for POWER!, and see what else they have available. Man, i was really hoping to keep my edge cs, im not familiar with dyno tuning but would it be possible to go to a local dyno shop and then send over all the info from the dyno to PHP? and im from Houston.

if I remember right, if you find enough people, 8-12ish, that are willing to get their truck dyno tuned you can have Bill come to you, but... yeah that isn't going to be too easy but I bet Houston has quite a few dynos and people with trucks that they want tuned right... :).
You can always keep the edge cs and use it for the gauges and DTC lookup ability.

Alright well looks like I'm going to try to arrange something in the future, hopefully it can be done :help: , and yea there's that too but it would be nice to have the edge cs do more than be a set of expensive gauges.
