Bill's Return Trip Update

Bill is snoozing right now at a rest stop in Wyoming (and the man is still trying to convince me that he'll be back in GA tomorrow evening... :smiley_roll1: He is the eternal optimist.)

Cool bit of info: he's averaging 19.6mpg (and that's carrying an engine in the back of the truck!)

Soo.....it must not be stock programming.:cheesy smile:

What is the engine for?

Corey Cohron RIP Sat, March 13th, 2010 11:18 PM

Oh, he chipped that puppy before it even left Utah, and he's got his emulator hooked up so that he can make live changes. Um, yes, he's doing this while driving, but I'm trying very hard not to think about that.

The extra engine? It's just a goodie from Jeremy for Bill to play with. Wil, our 10-year old is THRILLED! Hey, he's got to learn somehow, right? My concern, however, is HOW THE HECK ARE WE GOING TO REMOVE THE ENGINE FROM THE BED OF THE TRUCK AFTER IT'S IN OUR DRIVEWAY?!?!? PIECE BY PIECE?!?!? :skeptic:

OMG!
Groovy Chick!
Just unstrap the motor, throw the tranny in reverse, punch it, then hit the binders, and out comes the motor!!!!!!!!
J/K!:)

You'd better tell him that our 3,614 vacation a few years ago took 9 days. But that was a "vacation".:notallthere:
...but aside from our powerstroke squirting out red transmission fluid in Colorado the truck did really well. He might want to have an extra bottle of everything since he will be dropping so far in elevation. :hehe:

Okay, so his "30 minute" nap at the Cheyenne rest stop was actually a 7 hour snooze. He's somewhere in Nebraska. As I pointed out to him just now, "Honey, you only have 9½ hours left to be home 'late Sunday night.'" Called that one! :ithankyou:

Yeah, we'll just get right on that. :notallthere:

I talked to him today while he was at a rest stop on the way back, too bad he couldnt get with my dad to get his truck working great! oh well, maybe next time my dad will have a 2011 for him to work on :D, but that's up to my dad so who knows if it will happen! :cheesy smile:
He said the truck was running just fine, and he is missing the weather just barely wherever he goes!
Well just thought i would give the latest that i heard! hope the rest of the drive goes well!

That man is a trooper, anyone who can "nap" for 7 hrs in the front seat of a truck must be part teamster. :hehe: He said the truck ran all night, and I told him I should have sent him with an AIC...he replies "don't need one I set the idle with the lap top, and closed the EBPV with the programing, nice and toasty all night long" He has all the cool toys. :evillol:

I'm glad one of my spare 7.3's is going to a good home, I could never seem to get around to building one up.
