Tow Tune performance

I've been running my 87 Tow tune all winter and we're finally getting some dry pavement again and I tried a little 0-60 run. It came out to 9.9 seconds! What the heck? I could run it stock in under 8 seconds...

I haven't tried it on my 91 perf tune yet, but I sure hope it would be better... I just can't imagine why It would be 2 seconds slower with any custom tune.

The tow tunes are usually pretty slow in the acceleration department.

Also, what are the environmental conditions? If they are different the results will be also. If you are using lower quality fuel, need to clean filters, etc, it'll slow you down.

Everything is as similar as possible except that I'm running winter blend fuel still. I'm going to set it back to stock and see what I get for a comparison. It's going to be May before we get regular fuel and I can start running premium again lol

Just keep in mind that if you have any kind of mod that throws off the odometer your results will be off.

I just did a back to back test run and stock ran 10sec and my tow tune did 9.3...still way slower than my 7.5 from a couple years ago...but I'm just hoping its due to the winter blend.

I'll try and update this later after running a perf tune.
